About My Family
I come from a family of 5 people. There is a big age gab between me and my siblings, with my sister being 33 and my brother being 28, so I've always been the baby of the family... until two years ago, when my brother brought my gorgeous, crazy and funny niece, who is my favourite person in the world. We are all very close despite my brother living in London and my sister living in Sydney. I am also very close to my extended family on my mum's side. My siblings and I often go on trips with them to Portugal during the Summer. Last Summer the family came together to celebrate my sister's wedding. Since my mum's side of the family are all English and live mostly in London, I regularly visit them each year. My mum and my dad have always been supportive and encouraging with anything I've done, wether it was duing my football career, school and any of my past hobbies and pursuits. To sum it all up, I would like to say that these people have helped shaped the person I am today greately.
A quote and piece of advice my parents always say is:
Live and Let Live
This piece of advice is something my family lives off of as a way to remember to accept alements of people or the world even if your views don't align. having this moral has helped me a lot throughout my life to not dwell on things if I can't control them and prevent little things from getting to me.

A Bit More About Each Person
Michelle — My Mum
My mum has always been one of the most caring person ever, she has always had people's best interests at heart and has taught me to do the same. One of the funny things about my mum is how sensitive she can be, truly all it takes is a sarcastic laugh before she loses her patience. My dad, siblings I and abuse this rather unfortunate quality of hers for our own entertainment.
Best quality: “80s dancing at every function”
Gerard —My Dad
Usually I describe my dad as my biggest inspiration. We are very similar in many ways and he's proven to me, that my only limits to my success in life is myself. He came from a big family of 11 brothers and sisters so nothing was generously given to him growing up. Despite this, he has managed to live a very fulfilling and successful life which is a gaol in life I wish to soon accomplsish. My dad has always been one of the most understanding and generous people I know and does not waste a second when it comes to helping poeple. My dad strugled in school and dropped out at an early age before completing his leeving cert. This was due to a combination of learning disabilties like Dyslexia and autism which weren't recognised much if at all when my dad was in school. Having had this this experience, he understood me when I first experiencing issues in school with my learning defects. When it came to the time that I decided to leave school my dad was the number on person in my court and helped me navigate my life once my departure from secondary school.
Best quality: Having at-home concerts to himself in the kitchen with bulky headphones on
Ned — My Brother
My brother is one of my best friends since as long as I can remember. I can say will full honesty that I have never been as proud of someone in my life than I have been for my older brother, he has faced many challenges growing up took all of them, head on. A annoying but admirable thing about my brother, is his sharpness. My sister and I have both learned through our dealings with him, that there is no point in trying to win a debate/argument with him as he is too swift with his responses, which results in my sister and I getting ragebaited until we give up.
Shared quality: Both of us are unbearable to watch movies with as we quote everything with the accents of the actors on screen.

More About My Family
What do we do together as a family? »
As a family we enjoy getting together to have parties, a board game night (gets competitive), travel together and all have a passion for good food wherever we go.
What is a family holiday like for us? »
We love a resort! Spending time around the pool and beach is always a go to for our family and we will chase anywhere that is hotter and sunnier than Ireland. Going out for dinners on holiday as family always end up being the highlights of the trip.
