Tipperary: Rock of Cashel

This is a poster made for the advertisement and promotion of the popular Irish Tourist Destination called the Rock of Cashel, in Tipperary. It sits on a limestone hill, the structure includes a 12th-century round tower, a Gothic cathedral and Cormac’s Chapel.

I like how this poster turned out and making it allowed me to learn about the history of the Rock of Cashel. The most difficult part was narrowing down the best images to use for the design because there were so many possible options for me to choose from.

Poster 2 — Derryclare Lough

Galway: Derryclare Lough

This is a poster made for the advertisement and promotion of the popular Irish tourist destination called Derryclare Lough, located in Connemara, County Galway. Surrounded by mountains, the lake is known for its calm waters, scenic beauty, and views of the Twelve Bens mountain range.

I am happy with how the poster turned out, and creating it helped me improve my design skills. The most challenging part was arranging the layout in a way that made the poster clear and visually appealing.

Poster 3 — Hook Lighthouse

Wexford: Hook Lighthouse

This is a poster made for the advertisement and promotion of the popular Irish tourist destination called Hook Lighthouse, located in County Wexford. It is one of the oldest operational lighthouses in the world and stands on a rocky peninsula overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

I am pleased with how the poster turned out, and creating it gave me a better understanding of Hook Lighthouse and its history. The most difficult part was selecting colours and fonts that stood out and contrasted well with the coastal theme of the design.

Poster 4 — Glencar Waterfall

Leitrim: Glencar Waterfall

This is a poster made for the advertisement and promotion of the popular Irish tourist destination called Glencar Waterfall, located in County Leitrim. Nestled in a wooded valley, the waterfall is known for its peaceful setting and its connection to Irish literature, inspiring poets such as W.B. Yeats.

I am pleased with how the poster turned out, and creating it helped me develop my creativity and attention to detail. The most challenging part was creating a design that captured the movement and atmosphere of the waterfall.
